Heartbeat

"heartbeat." is a short film about a young drummer who is waiting for the audition of his dreams. While waiting, he sees a young woman who he has been longing to make a connection with.
Filming
This being the first film that I ever worked on, I learned quite a lot of things from the process of pre-production to production .

As I expected many things went wrong including the fact that I had to change my location last minute as well as the fact that getting the dance shots took a lot longer than I expected.
​
However, it was a very amazing experience. I got to work with two amazing actors Clara Yazbek and Parker Bollman. I also got to teach them the dance that I had created for the film and it was a lot of fun to direct them through that!

Editing
The editing of "heartbeat" was a very cool experience as I had to time most of the film to the score that was created for the film by composer Jay Rothenburg. We got a lot of coverage and a lot of long shots. It felt like editing a music video during the dance scenes
